Sheri Bartholow Scarlett Studios Fine Art

Hi, Welcome to my site.  I am Sheri Bartholow and I began drawing and painting as a child and have continued my love for creating art throughout my life.  I first studied art at The Maryland College of Art & Design, then in Georgia at The Atlanta College of Art, where I received my B.F.A.  I then went on to study art education and eventually earn my M.F.A. in painting from American University in Washington, D.C. 

I have spent the last 20 years teaching art, managing art programs and creating art.  I have a love of figure painting and portraiture, and in recent years I have studied Botanical Art and found a passion for doing fine detail graphite work.

I am a great lover of animals and most recently have been capturing that love in pet portraits.  I am currently "owned" by two dogs, one cat, a bird and 3 goldfish.
